ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the guidelines for advanced build options and some designs for bottle parts for tool path definition. It explains three-dimensional (3D) Print bottles using Fortus machine. The models in this module were produced in the author's Solid-Works lecture in summer 2014. The chapter provides the cost implications of 3D printing for different orientations. The Insight quoting engine has the ability to calculate the optimal build orientation and layer height for each of the geometry. These build options will be the default choice, unless specified by the user. The default orientation is called Optimal Build, and the default layer height has an asterisk. Fused deposition modeling build orientation and layer height can have a substantial impact on part quality, build speed and price.
