ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the Z510 three-dimnentional (3D) Printer works and the ZPrint and ZEdit software for pre-processing. It presents 3D-print parts using Z510 3D Printer. The Spectrum System is based on Powder Bed technology or Inkjet Head technology that Massachusetts Institute of Technology patented, which is the basis for 3D printing (3DP) using high-performance composite material (HPCM). HPCM consists of a highly engineered powder with numerous additives that maximize surface finish, feature resolution, and part strength. Each material, paired with its corresponding binder, produces high-definition parts that are fit for the most demanding 3DP application. The software first converts a 3D design that is built using 3D computer-aided design software into cross section or slices that can be between 0.0035- and 0.004-inch thick.
