ABSTRACT
The sooner you write a book the better, while the m aterial is still fresh and interesting. A book goes out of date very quickly. It becomes dated as soon as you have checked the final draft and subm itted the m anuscript to be published. You will have a chance to update any key points in the book w hen you undertake the final checking of the copy-edited m anuscript before it goes off for printing. So, once the book writing is under way, try to minimise the length of time you and others spend writing it, so that the task does no t drag on.
