ABSTRACT

Premature action often ensues ‘the morning after the night before’. Too many drinks or cigarettes, too much food, a huge credit card bill, engaging in risky behaviour, etc., may leave such a feeling of distaste that no sooner have the immortal words ‘never again’ left our lips then we are rashly planning to make major changes tomorrow – or earlier. Such action generally fi zzles out within a few days to a week and may repeat itself cyclically every few weeks to months. This leads to a very frustrating and depressing yo-yo effect, especially if you are a crash dieter.
