ABSTRACT

After a case conference or presentation, form a group and brainstorm with colleagues as to the potential risks posed by a clinical patient. The exercise is interesting sometimes because it highlights the strength (or lack of strength) of evidence for various quoted risks and how other risks are potentially ignored. The area of risk assessment is a crucial one and demonstrating a strategy for risk assessment in Clinicals (at Part I and Part II) and PMPs can demonstrate that you will be a potentially safe consultant colleague.
