ABSTRACT

Developments in e-learning have often been dominated by technology, with the result that consideration of the educational process has sometimes been of secondary importance for e-learning product developers. There is a range of delivery systems using a variety of methods, such as CD-ROMs or web-based courses. This can offer a useful range of options for using the material. It is also important to consider not only how the educational content is being delivered but why it is being delivered in that format. These considerations maybe related to cost or the convenience to produce rather than responding to the needs of the consumer.
