ABSTRACT

Because of the success of working with SPs to help students and qualified health profes sionals learn and develop their communication skills, medical educators (and SPs) are always thinking of new ways in which to enhance the role of SPs further in education. We have already explored the ways in which SPs work, give feedback and assess. In this chapter we look at other successful methods that capitalise on the tremendous power of the SP as an aid to learning, and think about possible developments in the future.
