ABSTRACT
The constellation of symptoms including frequency and urgency, suggests a degree of detrusor instability. Caffeine intake is an associated factor, and after excluding a urinary tract infection, she would be advised in the first instance to reduce her coffee intake. Patients who fail to respond to first-line treatment should undergo a formal urodynamic assessment.
