ABSTRACT
This chapter describes how to analyse results from a patient survey, how to construct a frequency distribution table, how to construct a frequency distribution chart, how to use compound statements, and how to use a chi-squared test to evaluate relationships between variables. It also tells how to manage date and time data in Excel, how to combine logical and numerical formulae, how to manage multiple worksheets within a workbook, how to use the CHITEST function. An audit has been conducted to investigate the patients' view of care in an outpatient clinic’. The data collected by the survey is stored in the sheet 'outpatient survey.xls'. The chapter constructs frequency distribution table, and frequency distribution chart. The chapter shows that the analysis of the satisfaction data for the waiting time is identical in almost every detail.
