ABSTRACT
In this paper, the multi-grid method is employed and the time-varying item caused by rough surface is considered in Reynolds and energy equations for micro EHL in point contact. Then, formulations with time-varying item are derived for calculating the oil film pressure and temperature respectively. Besides, the effects of the roughness orientation, wavelength, amplitude and phase on micro TEHL performance are thoroughly analyzed.
