In the present chapter, we review our research experience with “el maestro” Beyer during his stay in our laboratory that was funded by the prestigious award “Programa Iberdrola de Profesores Visitantes en Ciencia y Tecnología” (1996). We integrate our research on sexual dimorphism in the vomeronasal system (VNS) and the neurofunctional expression of sex differences in parental behavior (PB), with Prof. Beyer’s contributions to the hormonal control of sexual differentiation of the brain.
