ABSTRACT
Berea sandstone and sandstone obtained from Paaratte formation in the Otway basin(Otway sandstone) were used as a specimen. Berea sandstone is fine grained, but the grains are more angular rather than rounded. The relative high porosity of about 18% and permeability of Berea sandstone makes it a good reservoir rock. It is widely used as a standard specimen in oil & gas reservoir engineering.
