ABSTRACT

There are many opportunities for water conservation and benign disposal, but with wide availability of mains water, sewerage and stormwater drainage connections, water issues have rarely been considered as serious concerns in building projects until recently. However, with the emergence of wider variations in rainfall patterns and the increasing occurrence of flooding, the requirement to consider water management at the earliest stage in design and refurbishment is increasingly a planning requirement.
