ABSTRACT
In this chapter of the book, housing policy and its development are discussed. Specifically, the objectives of housing policy and the purpose of housing policy are critically examined in order to understand the place of theory in practice. Lastly, the chapter closes with an outline of housing policy instruments, which enables the intentions of housing policies to be actualized.
