ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the process dimension and all the associated project management (PM) processes and the process performance indicators, which is called the process capability dimension. These two dimensions form the overall picture of process assessment based on ISO/IEC 33000. The chapter describes an assessment of our project processes affords us the opportunity to ensure they are being performed consistently, as determined by our organization against the capability levels. To use a different project management model or methodology than ISO/IEC 21500, such as PRINCE or PMBOK, then we need to first map the preferred methodology against the ISO/IEC 21500 processes. Then need to support any that do not match with process purposes, outcomes, base practices and the work products associated with those processes. There are several output work products in the various processes that are used as inputs to all processes.
