ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the application of the semiparametric odds ratio model to the detection of network connections. It is shown that the connections in an undirected network can be characterized by the odds ratio functions in the odds ratio decomposition of the joint density. Computation methods for different likelihood approaches are examined respectively and compared. The application is illustrated by the analysis of the gene-expression network in the breast carcinoma data.
