ABSTRACT

The main purpose of any humidity sensor is to provide reliable real-time information about the humidity of the surrounding environment. The information presented in this chapter helps to select the optimum sensor for specific applications. It gives the answer to the question, What is an ideal humidity sensor? In addition, it is concluded that there are no secondary factors when measuring air humidity, and to obtain reliable information, it is necessary to take into account all factors, including the location of the sensor, sampling during humidity measurement, and conditions of exploitation. The chapter concludes with recommendations in the humidity measurement, which can help avoid measurement errors.
