ABSTRACT
This chapter gives an overview presentation of electric power system reliability. It discusses the need of probabilistic methods and shows an example of different measures of reliability both on component and system levels. Finally, it gives a brief presentation of an evaluation tool RADPOW developed for reliability assessment for electrical distribution systems.
