ABSTRACT

Effective management or governance is result of proper organization. The leader of the governance team must also comprehend how the company operates, which department is responsible for a particular section of operations. The governance or architecture policy is not a simple document, and it is made up of all of the processes of system governance. A governance review board not only ensures compliance within the existing system, but also ensures compliance with the system architecture by new ideas or processes. The governance or architecture review board should always decide through voting, with majority rule winning the vote. The architecture review board can grant compliance waivers based upon the recommendation of the appropriate board member and if it can be proved to be in the best interest of the company or enterprise system. Compliance waivers are a very useful tool to establish if there is a need to consider changing the governance policies to accept the new tool or data type.
