ABSTRACT

Withinthepasttwodecades,immunologicaltechniqueshavebecomeindispensabletools inthephysiological,biochemical.andmoleculardisciplinesofplantscience.Theirprincipal attractionresidesinthehighspecificityoftheimmunologicalreaction,whichallowsaccurate recognitionofanantigenicsubstanceeveninthepresenceofcontaminatingantigensthatare notofimmediateinterest.Themethodologyisnowroutinelyusedfortherapidpurification, visualization,andquantificationofproteins,polysaccharides.andevensmallmoleculesto whichantibodieswereinducedbyconjugatingthemoleculetoalargeimmunogeniccarrier protein.
