ABSTRACT

Studies on experimental animals have been the basis for most of our understanding of the effects of methyl chloroform (1,1,1-trichloroethane) on man. Acute toxicity following oral,36,69 intraperitoneal,62–65 or inhalationa160,62 administration of methyl chloroform has been studied in different experimental animals. However, a comparative investigation of methyl chloroform toxicity following its administration to a single animal species via different routes has not yet been reported.
