ABSTRACT
This chapter is the detailed description of project scheduling. The chapter describes various methodologies for project scheduling. At first, two of the most common methods called Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) and Critical Path Method (CPM) are discussed in details. Crashing or reducing the project duration by employing additional resources has also been covered. The next method discussed in this chapter is Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique (GERT) and Milestone chart. Further, resource-constrained project scheduling is another frequently researched topic of study as evident from the existing literature. Both the traditional mathematical model and a heuristic are depicted under resource-constrained project scheduling.
