ABSTRACT

Marc Davis (1913–2000) was a top Disney animator, designer, teacher, and author. His talents gave life to Maleficent, Cruella da Vil, and The Pirates of the Caribbean. Marc and his artist-wife Alice loved entertaining and good food, and Marc loved his martini. Disney legend Grim Natwick told animation historian John Canemaker, “His [Marc's] gin martini has long been recognized as the finest martini west of the Mississippi. Never to have tasted a Marc Davis martini is to have been denied an experience unparalleled in drinking tradition.”
