ABSTRACT

The main indicators of the quality of hot rolled strips are the accuracy of the dimensions and the level of the mechanical properties of the metal. Information is crucial, for example when analyzing the stability of the rolling process of steel sheets. Therefore, the actual task of the rolling theory is to identify and implement opportunities for a wider use of probabilistic approaches in solving technical and technological tasks in sheet rolling production. The metal intended for further cold rolling is subject to very high requirements compared with the standard values. The longitudinal thickness difference of the strip plate have a strong effect on the stability of the cold rolling process and the rolling conditions of the strips with the welded joints in continuous mills. The main objective of heating is to provide the desired temperature for rolling slabs with a minimal spread within a batch of slabs. Strip plate temperature fluctuations affect the finishing rolling temperature more substantially.
