ABSTRACT

This chapter critically evaluates the comprehensive theories which indicate that more concepts are needed to bridge the gap found between 2004 tsunami and existing generation mechanisms. Thus, this chapter is devoted to the tsunami of 26 December 2004 that is known as Sumatra-Andaman earthquake. Consequently, this catastrophe is called the Asian tsunami in Asia region and additionally recognized as a boxing day within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, attributable to the actual fact that it occurred on boxing day at 00:58:53 UT (07:58:53 neighborhood time) December 26, 2004.
