ABSTRACT
The body or chassis with running gear attached is sometimes referred to as the rolling shell or rolling chassis. Often race and rally cars are sold like this so that the new owner can fit an engine and transmission of choice. This chapter looks at the parts which make up the running gear part of the rolling shell or chassis. Chassis and bodies are covered separately.
