ABSTRACT

International Standards Organization (ISO). It has been

successfully used, in particular, to ensure semantic inter-

operability between business and IT stakeholders. These

concepts come from mathematics, computing science,

exact philosophy, and systems thinking, and most have

been around for centuries if not for millennia. Reusable

abstract and precise business patterns based on this system

of concepts have been used to create understandable

buzzword-and implementation-invariant specifications

for businesses and information systems. The entry also

presents two small examples of non-toy models.
