In today’s complex manufacturing world, it is sometimes difﬁcult to remember what the real purpose of manufacturing a product is-and what the total elements of the process consist of. If we assume that whatever we manufacture, we will insist on good quality products, on-time delivery, and complete customer satisfaction, then we should concentrate on the most economical method to achieve these results.
