ABSTRACT
The diseases of poor people when related to infection with helminths are invariably classified as the neglected or forgotten diseases (Molyneux, 2004). That view may prevail in the north and it may apply particularly to the north’s response to strongyloidiasis, which often appears to be the most neglected of all. Strongyloidiasis is an assemblage of syndromes that usually accompany infection with
Strongyloides stercoralis
, but can also occur from infection with
S. fuelleborni
and
S. fuelleborni kellyi.
