ABSTRACT
A 24 h well pumping test in a confined aquifer was conducted to determine its hydrogeologic
parameters. Use information from the schematic hydrogeologic cross section in Figure 14.1
and pumping data from Table 14.1 to calculate aquifer transmissivity, hydraulic conductivity,
and storage coefficient. Apply several methods of pumping test analysis. Also determine well
loss and its acceptability (i.e., efficiency of the well). The pumping rate was kept constant at
8 L=s (0.008 m3=s) during all 24 h of the test. The drilling diameter of the well screen portion is 350 mm.
