ABSTRACT
Cognitive Systems at Work One of the great values of science is that, during the process of discovery,
conventional beliefs are questioned by putting them in empirical jeopardy. When
scientists formulate new ideas and look at the world anew through these conceptual
looking glasses, the results often startle us. The new views are particularly valuable
when they stimulate and steer the processes of innovation in worlds of work.
