ABSTRACT
This book contains a multitude of facts and figures on various aspects of treated wood resulting from years of scientific research. However, as evident by some of the variability in the results that has sometimes led to significantly different conclusions, science is seldom absolute. Interpretation is essential. This chapter is designed to provide a framework to interpret the information in this book and draw conclusions from it.
