ABSTRACT
Growth and development of plants are governed by different environmental conditions. Temperature (high and low) is one of the most impacting and important environmental factors that limit the productivity and geographical distribution of plants in large areas of the world (Larcher 1981). Optimal temperature range determines mainly the biological activity of a plant cell. Physiological or metabolic reaction rates either decline or stop above and below the optimum temperature range in most plant species.
