ABSTRACT
Each year billons of dollars are spent on engineering equipment maintenance worldwide, and today’s maintenance practices are market driven, in particular for the manufacturing and process industry, service suppliers, and so on [1]. Because of this, there is a definite need for effective asset management and maintenance practices that can positively influence success factors such as price, profitability, quality, reliable delivery, safety, and speed of innovation.
