ABSTRACT
I recall hearing a female on television claiming that she could tell if someone was lying 100% of the time, without exception. I must admit that I enjoyed hearing her make a fool of herself, knowing that no forensic professional has anywhere near 100% accuracy in detecting truth from deception based on a brief interaction, or even a lengthy interaction. Some professionals certainly have more skill and are able to detect truth from deception far more often than others.
