ABSTRACT

Many perpetrators claim that they are innocent of their offense despite pleading guilty. Some maintain that the only reason why they pled guilty was out of fear of receiving more time in jail or prison, or that their attorney advised them to do so because it was likely that they would lose the case if they went to trail. However, how many people would plead guilty to a felony that would forever change their lives if they were innocent of the crime? Probably not too many.
