ABSTRACT
Enzymes have two outstanding features that distinguish them from all other types of potential drugs. Enzymes can bind and act on their targets with great affinity and specificity and can catalytically convert multiple target molecules into a desired product. These characteristics have allowed the development of many enzymes to be used to treat a wide range of disorders [1,2].
