ABSTRACT
As society’s conceptual model of disability has changed, corresponding changes in the laws regarding the disabled, their rights, and definitions of accessibility have occurred. Federal laws now mandate the accessibility of various products, facilities, and services. As these societal changes occur, the role of universal design becomes more prominent.
