The Flow Diagram is the basic type of diagram used by the static analysis tools of Process Oriented Analysis. Any kind of system can be depicted by a Flow Diagram. It creates a simplified schematic view of a system. The Flow Diagram graphically shows where resources and data come from, where they are going, how output is generated by transformation of input, and what relationships exist between the activities.
