ABSTRACT
A sealant is a viscous material that when applied changes state to become a solid barrier. The change of state is driven by evaporation of solvents, cooling of heated resinous or polymeric materials, or chemical reactions. It is used to prevent the transmission of liquids, gases, noise, dust, or heat from one area into another.
