ABSTRACT

Recreational entertainment facilities are another up-and-coming area of RFID application. These include amusement parks, water parks, ski resorts, and concerts. All of these types of entertainment facilities are characterized by a large volume of customers proceeding through a series of processes. While some processes such as payment for entry are mandatory, other processes such as individual attractions are not. Most if not all of these processes are characterized by some sort of queue system. In each of these queue systems, the customer must wait in one or more lines until one or more resources such as a ticket seller or an attraction operator is available.
