ABSTRACT
Air bags are automatic supplemental restraining safety devices, installed in motor vehicles; these devices are designed to fully in ate after a crash creating a protective cushion between the driver and the steering wheel and windscreen. Air bags therefore provide further protection for belted front-seat occupants in moderate-to-severe frontal or nearfrontal crashes.
