ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we consider whether two subgeometry partitions may be obtained from the same translation plane.

Definition 91.1. Let pi be a translation plane admitting spread retraction and let PG(pi) denote the associated partitions. Two partitions PG(pi1) and PG(pi2) are said to be ‘paired’ if and only if the associated translation planes pi1 and pi2 are isomorphic.
