ABSTRACT
The following lemmas and theorems are of general interest and can be used for other nonlinear estimation and testing problems associated with the α-mixing condition. Lemma A.2 and Theorem A.1 below extend some corresponding results of Hjellvik, Yao and Tjøstheim (1998) and Fan and Li (1999) for the β-mixing case.
