ABSTRACT
According to the SI system, the full names or the units are always treated like ordinary nouns (i.e. written in lower-
case upright letters, in the plural if appropriate).
The symbols of the units are printed in upright lower-case letters unless they are derived from a proper name, in
which case the first letter is a capital letter (with the exception of the "litre" symbol which may written as "L").
