ABSTRACT
This chapter considers quantities and units that are required for the practice of
medical physics in radiation therapy, including those that are solely relevant to
brachytherapy. Measurements are an essential part of brachytherapy physics
both for routine and research aspects. Precision and accuracy of the spectrum
of brachytherapy measurements depend on the particular application, which
may for example involve equipment calibration or measurements on patients.
