ABSTRACT
One of the fundamental rules of any investigation is that nothing happens in a vacuum, and wireless forensics is no different. Technology is progressing so fast that it tests even the most talented of investigators. This chapter will hopefully help prepare you for what you can expect to see
in the future, and therefore will have to know or understand later. It’s not enough to forensically know the technology; you also have to know where it’s being used and why. So, some parts of this chapter deal with specific technologies, and others deal with emerging trends.
