ABSTRACT
Once the installation of VMware GSX Server is complete, it is ready to be confi gured for daily use. Th is chapter covers the tools and techniques to properly confi gure, manage, and secure VMware GSX Server once it has been installed. It is critical that VMware GSX Server be properly confi gured to garner all of the performance benefi ts and security settings that are made available. By using the VMware supplied management tools, managing your virtual machines and physical host servers become less of an obstacle when trying to create a virtualized environment. Once the virtualization environment is installed, it is important to become familiar with the VMware management tools in order to create, modify, and maintain the virtual machines and the environment.
