ABSTRACT
In this chapter we describe AIS that will ensure that the appropriate policies for confidentiality, privacy, trust, release, dissemination, data quality, and provenance are enforced. We discuss technologies for AIS as well as novel approaches based on game theoretical concepts. Our emphasis will be on the application of semantic Web technologies for AIS. In Section 21.2 we provide an overview of organizational and coalition data sharing. The application of service-oriented architectures for AIS is discussed in Section 21.3. Data integration and analysis technologies for AIS are discussed in Section 21.4. Security policy aspects including confidentiality, privacy, and trust policies are discussed in Section 21.5. Integrity and dependability issues such as data provenance, quality, and real-time processing are discussed in Section 21.6. Balancing conflicting requirements including security versus realtime processing is discussed in Section 21.7. Application of semantic Web is the discussion in Section 21.8. The chapter is concluded in Section 21.9.
