The objective of this job practice area is to focus on the tasks and knowledge necessary for the information security manager to effectively manage information security within an organization. It contains a description of various techniques the information security manager can use and the areas on which the information security manager should focus. This functional area comprises 24 percent of the CISM
examination and comprises approximately 48 questions.
